ABOUT ME
John Randa received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Northwestern University. He is board certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a background in strength and conditioning. He has also obtained certification as a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS).
John is experienced in a variety of techniques, holding certifications in Integrative Dry Needling and Graston Technique. He also has received training in cupping, Kinesiotaping, Mulligan techniques, and the McKenzie method.

John sees patients for a full hour of 1v1 treatment and does not double book patients. This 100% 1v1 model is very unique, as a majority of physical therapy clinics double/triple book patients and typically pass patients off to under-qualified aides. This allows John to be able to fully listen to his patients' limitations and appropriately conduct a customized treatment plan specific to each patient.

PHYSICAL THERAPY
John uses a variety of techniques, including dry needling, instrument-assisted soft tissue release, cupping, taping, McKenzie, and Mulligan techniques to help those rehabilitate from injuries, resolve acute or chronic pains, and improve overall function. He has extensive experience rehabilitating those with orthopedic injuries and is board certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). John accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield and Medicare insurance plans for physical therapy services.

personal training
John uses his Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification to help his clients achieve their fitness and body composition goals. He uses a comprehensive, total-body approach and incorporates strengthening, interval training, agility, balance, endurance, and flexibility training in his programming. He is able to use his background in physical therapy to make sure his clients are exercising safely and effectively.

dry needling
John is certified in Integrative Dry Needling, which uses a holistic neurological approach to relax muscles and reduce inflammation. John's dry needling sessions are helpful even for those who do not have a particular injury but are looking to prevent injuries, keep muscles limber, and improve performance. These visits are ideal to include as part of a whole-body "maintenance" program.
